Applying for Tuition Assistance
Here at Pacelli, we strive to encourage intellectual and spiritual growth in all students. Pacelli prepares and develops each student to reach their God-given potential and to be successful in life. Because of that belief, we strive to make a Catholic education here accessible and affordable to anyone who seeks it by offering financial aid and scholarship opportunities to families who need them.
While we always strive to raise funds to create as many opportunities as possible, sometimes we need to outweigh the availability of financial awards we have to give. If you apply late, you may miss your opportunity to be eligible for tuition assistance as the funds may have already been distributed.

In the spirit of Christian giving, financial aid awards do not need to be repaid.
When Do I Apply for Financial Aid?
Existing families and new families who would like to be considered for financial aid can apply throughout the school year. However, we do recommend that you apply as early as you're able as finacial aid is first come first serve.
How Do I Apply?
All those who with to apply for financial aid must apply for the Seeds of Faith Scholarship which you can find HERE.
All families, regardless of income, are encouraged to supply their most recent copies of their family's 1040 tax forms as part of the application process to determine what level of financial assistance they may be eligible for. Please note that some financial aid and scholarship opportunities may require additional application paperwork. If assistance is needed, please contact the business office; 507-437-3278.
For current families you can apply for finacial aid when you enroll for the new school year. When you enrolling in FACTS you will see a question box asking if you are applying for finacial aid, click yes on this box. Within a week you will receive an email with a form to apply. If you wish to apply in the middle of the current school year once your child has already enrolled, please reach out to the Enrollment Director.
For new families, you will see a question on your enrollment for asking if you wish to apply for financial aid. Click yes on this box and you will receive an email within a week with the form to apply.
WHAT DOCUMENTS DO I NEED TO APPLY?
Families will need the most current copy of their 1040 tax return. Other documents may also be requested.How Do I Know If I Received Financial Aid?
Families will be notified in June if they have received and finacial aid from Pacelli Catholic Schools and at the end of July for The Seeds of Faith scholarship. Families will be notified via the method they delected in their enrollment packet indicating the amount of financial aid they will receive.

The Pacelli Discount will be determined by family income from your Federal Tax Return.
The Pacelli Discount is a capped amount based on funds received through donations and fundraising events. It is important to apply early. In order to qualify for the Pacelli Discount, students will be required to apply for the Seeds of Faith
Scholarship through the Catholic Foundation of Southern Minnesota (see details in dropdown below).
To remain eligible, students will need to be in good standing by following the attendance, behavior, and grade requirements as listed in the Student Handbook. Payment of tuition and fees must also be up to date. If a student receives a scholarship (see below), that amount will be deducted from the Pacelli Discount Award.

- Students are required to write two thank you notes each year to their sponsor.
- To apply submit the most recent 1040 tax forms of all adult household members and Pacelli Financial Aid Application by May 1.

This is a needs-based, financial scholarship provided by the Catholic Foundation of Southern Minnesota and provides funds for the evangelizations and catechesis of the Catholic faith community within the Diocese of Winona-Rochester.

The Shamrock Scholarships are for New incoming Freshmen.
Shamrock Scholarships features:- Awarded to new incoming Freshmen
- Are ANNUALLY RENEWABLE: The scholarship stays with the student for all 4 years you attend Pacelli.
Full scholarship is defined as:- Shamrock scholarship pays $5,000 a year for 4 years
- Pacelli discounts $500 a year for 4 years
- The student's family pays $425 a year for 4 years
- All activity fees waived
Half Scholarship is defined as:- Shamrock scholarship pays $3,000 a year for 4 years
- Pacelli discounts $500 a year for 4 years
- The student's parent pays $2,425 a year for 4 years
- All activity fees waived
Expectations:- Students must maintain a "C" grade point average.
- Engage in the Pacelli Experience
- i.e., participate in sports, arts/theater, music, or other extra-curricular activities
To be considered for either a full or half scholarship at Pacelli Catholic Schools, an applicant must:- Be a new student enrolling in the Freshmen class
- Complete the scholarship application

The Hormel Assurance Scholarship for Pacelli GraduatesThe Hormel Foundation officially kicked off a program to offer all qualifying seniors from Pacelli Catholic Schools full scholarships to Riverland Community College.
The Austin Assurance Scholarship program is designed to give students the opportunity to pursue post-secondary education by removing cost as a barrier."This is really going to be a game changer for our community," says Riverland Community College president Adenuga Atewologun, "especially our students of lesser means and our immigrant populations. They will really benefit."
Seniors who meet the requirements and choose to attend Riverland Community College will receive a scholarship to cover tuition and fees as well as a stipend for textbooks.
"When young people and their families understand that this scholarship is available, it gives them hope and a light into the future that they might not otherwise have thought about," says Hormel Foundation secretary Steve Rizzi. "It's a great difference maker for Austin. There isn't any component in our society where education doesn't make a difference, and by valuing and enhancing the ability to access a post-secondary education, we believe that we instill the belief that we can better ourselves as individuals with an education."
